On receipt of a hard copy of your manuscript, all books are put in to our Readership scheme for assessment. Our readers are indendent of us or any publisher but do have publishing experience. They will mark the manuscript with suggested changes - so ensure what you send in is a copy of your original script. They will advise what changes are required to have the book into a saleable format and give us a critique report.

With the Readers report to hand, we discuss this with you and see how we go forward.

The reader may have advised for some pages/chapters to be rewritten; pages/chapters to be omitted or lengthened. Each manuscript is individual and each author is unique so, each reader's report is specific to the authors actual needs.

Once the author has taken on board all the comments and amended their manuscript (if necessary), we can then go on to help with editing, proofreading, setting up, cover design, illustrations, incorporate illustrations and/or colour or black and white photographs into the book.

Proofs are supplied for reading and approval, prior to production.

We provide ISBN numbers and barcodes can be added on by authors request. We will liaise with Printing companies to get the best quote for the number of books required. A minimum order is 50 copies but higher volume of orders will result in the finished book being able to be sold at a cheaper price. An average order is 300 books. Our maximum is usually 2000 but, if you have expected sales, the sky's the limit!

We can offer the books for sale through the Trade and offer the work for film, TV or foreign rights if applicable. We can help you to arrange a book launch and suggest other avenues for selling that you may want to pursue.

Your book will be listed on Barny Books website and also on the website of Alternative Bookshop Online. It also gets picked up by other numerous online sites (Amazon included).
