On receipt of a hard copy of the manuscript, all books are put in to our Readership scheme for assessment. Our readers are indendent of us or any publisher but do have publishing experience. They will usually mark the manuscript with suggested changes so ensure what you send in is a copy of your original. They will advise what changes are required to have the book into a saleable format and give us a readers report.

We can help with editing, setting up, typing, cover design, translations (limited), help for dyslexic, special needs or the elderly, illustrations (black and white), incorporate illustrations and/or colour or black and white photographs into the book.

Proofs are supplied for reading and approval, prior to production.

We provide ISBN numbers. Barcodes can be added on by authors request. We will liaise with Printing companies to get the best quote for the number of books required. A minimum order is 300 copies.

We can offer the books for sale through the Trade and offer the work for film, TV or foreign rights if applicable. We can help you to arrange a book launch and suggest other avenues for selling that you may want to pursue.

Your book will be listed on Barny Books website and also on the website of Alternative Bookshop Online.
